Hi, I’m Jill — welcome to Pantry to Plate
I’m a mom of five, which means dinner isn’t optional and it isn’t fancy — it just has to happen, every single night. Pantry to Plate is how I make that work: real, from-scratch meals built from the staples I already keep on hand.
I buy in bulk, cook from scratch, and lean on a well-stocked pantry so good food stays doable on a busy schedule and a real budget. No last-minute grocery runs, no complicated recipes — just practical systems any family can use to get a home-cooked meal on the table.
That’s what I share here: the recipes, pantry staples, and kitchen skills that turn what you already have into meals your family actually wants to eat. Pull up a chair — I’m so glad you’re here.

I didn’t grow up in a scratch kitchen. Most of what I know now, I taught myself one skill at a time — often the hard way, with plenty of flops along the way. If you’ve ever felt like everyone else got a cookbook you missed, I’ve been right where you are.
That’s exactly why I built Pantry to Plate. I wanted one place that shortcuts the learning curve instead of adding to it — where you can pick up the tips and tricks it took me years to figure out. I cover the whole process: sourcing and bulk buying, prepping ahead, cooking from scratch, eating with the seasons, and everything in between, always with budget and quality top of mind.
Because good food shouldn’t mean choosing between the two. With the right staples and a few repeatable systems, you can put real, home-cooked meals on the table without blowing the budget or living in the kitchen — and I’ll walk you through every step.
